Frequently Asked Questions

How does pickup work?

Parents must sign out their child with the Active Play Director at the designated dismissal area using the sign-out sheet provided at the end of each enrichment session. Only authorized individuals listed on your registration profile are permitted to pick up students.

What time does the program end?

Parents may choose whether to enroll students in one-hour enrichment programs that end at 4:30 or  two-hour enrichment programs that end at 5:30

What classes are offered?

Enrichment programs are organized into four pillars for a well-rounded after school experience: Sport & Movement, Art & Music, STEM & Strategy, and Language & Practical Skills. The practical skills category includes programs such as cooking and debate. Check out our class catalog for current seasonal offerings by grade and day of the week.

Can students register for multiple classes?

Yes! Families are welcome to sign up for as many classes as they would like. Active Play is also offering 20% off to families enrolled in eligible programming 3 or more days per week.

What happens during school closures?

When school is closed for holidays, professional development, or parent-teacher conferences, our regular after-school program does not run. However, we offer full-day Day Camps on these closure days which you can register for separately! Please see our Day Camps page for more details and to register.

My child is enrolled in both Active Play Enrichment and  aftercare. How does dismissal work?

Students enrolled in both Active Play Enrichment and After Care will be escorted directly to aftercare by Active Play staff at the conclusion of their enrichment class. Families do not need to arrange a separate transition.

What if my pick-up plans change or my child cannot attend enrichment one day?

Please inform us if your child(ren) will not be attending enrichment or if there are any changes to your pick-up plan. This includes early pick-up requests or if a new authorized individual will be picking up your child(ren). Please email updates to HydeEnrichment@ActivePlayLLC.com
